Life Goes On is a fan favorite written by Ron Putman. Truth be known Ron, being the outstanding song writer that he is, did not want to share his personal music at the time of the recording of Out of the DogHouse. So he create the two songs just for The TuneCats. The amazing thing was even though his songs were off the cuff, the lyrics show off his ability to tie the emotion of the subject with clever concepts within the structure of the lyric pattern. The line, “you finally convinced me that *love was just some kind of heart disease” or “I couldn't *change my heart even if I changed my mind” wow 'd TuneCat listeners and the band a like. It was a pleasure working with such a talented song writer. The music structure is clever as well returning to the common thread of notes that were those two lines in the solos as well and the modulation for the tenor sax solo. Enjoy!
