Verse 1
I’ve got good reason today to be depressed. Yet I’m Thankful For My Pain - Yes I know that sounds insane.
I’ve lost almost everyone in my family. But Yes I’m Thankful For My Pain - Even if life won’t be the same.
You see my faith has always been strong, And God’s always helped me get along and saved me – since little boy.
I see my Blessings Yes they come from God, I’ll always love and praise Almighty God!
But that don’t cover my mistakes I made in life, My sin I do repent thank you Jesus who was sent
And I kept messing up in ways that hurt my life, giving in to temptation
The sin I did I regret - it’s obvious I forget. - Committing sin has caused me pain - I’m never gonna be the same.
This time I will get life right – I’m thankful for my pain!
Verse 2
I’ve always known God has had a plan for me. It’s not so hard to see - so does the enemy.
I didn’t think that it would be my family. Which would try to take me out - my kids they make me want to shout.
I appreciate what happened, helped me reset my focus, to fight now - in God’s army
So I have to be on my game, no more drinking, smoking or distractions.
I can say with confidence for the first time in my life, - I’m done just giving into sin - And I know I’m gonna win.
And I know I’m still a man and I can fall again, But I never have felt this strong
And I dedicate the rest of, my life to serving Jesus - Committing sin has caused me pain - I’m never gonna be the same.
This time I will get life right – I’m thankful for my pain!
